Services
Student health services are provided through a contract between Dell Children's Medical Center, part of Ascension Healthcare, and the Austin Independent School District (AISD). This innovative model uses a registered nurse and school health assistant working together to provide health related services to all students in AISD schools.

All medications, with the exception of certain emergency medications will be kept in the Health Services Office. For medications to be administered at school, parents/guardians must provide the medication in its original container and completed Medication Authorization paperwork. Guidelines and forms are located under the Documents tab above. |
Illness and Injury CareIll and injured child health services will be offered in a manner that promotes school attendance and child health.
Our care is based on current evidence-based practice and provided with the individual student in mind, as well as with the utmost confidentiality. If your student has special circumstances or needs that are important for us to know when providing care, please do not hesitate to contact our office. Please remind your student that in order to be released from school because of illness or injury, he or she must first come to the Health Services Office for assessment. Students may not call from the classroom or their cell phones to get picked up; it will be an unexcused absence if they bypass the Health Services Office. |
